This handmade, sterling silver pendant is made with a natural stone cabochon. This banded flint material, is from Poland and so is appropriately called Polish Flint. The material in Poland is the only material in the word to create the coveted patterns of undulating lines and wild scenes. Interestingly, this material has been mined in Poland since the Neolithic Period for flint tools, too.
I made this wire wrapped setting with heavy sterling silver wire- not plated, filled or coated wire. I wrapped this freeform flame shape with some detail in the bottom sides just for a little something something.
Please note: There is a very slight surface fracture which does not go through the stone or effect the stone in any way- nor does it detract visually, in any way. I mention it for accuracy. I cabbed this solid stone.
