I used to wear a ring on every finger- even my thumb. I loved them. I didn't go anywhere without a few rings on. I came up with a few good designs that I enjoyed wearing myself, but never offered very many for sale. They are not adjustable. There are an almost infinite number of sizes to offer. That made it really hard to sell them. I don't want to sit and make copies of copies of copies in different sizes. What's the fun in that? I rarely duplicate what I do or I would get so boared that I'd quickly quit. I gotta mix it up once in awhile.
A shy spectrolite ring in 14k gold filled wire. My first one.
So, along that vein, I am going to make a few for sale and see how it goes. I'll use the one design because it is so versatile. It is a combination weave, braid and wire wrap.
This ring was made a long time ago. It was one of my first. It is made with an extremely gemmy, choice cab of rare color change sugilite.
Sadly, I'll have to take it apart and redo it in another size if I want to wear it again. I have arthritis in my hands. Not too bad, but bad enough that I can't wear most of my rings anymore.
These two were made with copper and given a patina. I love copper with a patina. It brings out the details. The first is an ammolite and the second is red jasper with a red jasper bead.
High drama! The colors and contrast in these are amazing! Rhodochrosite in silver and psilomelane in 14k gold filled.
This design can go pretty big! It makes great mens rings. It's very comfortable and durable.
On the right is a huge turquoise that was a custom order. I had to buy a new bigger ring mandrel for that one.
On the left is a stone which I love, but never found out the name of.
Here are two recently completed dinosaur bone rings. They are made in sterling silver with a paina to show off the detail. These stones are quite small. The smallest ring size I have made with this design is size 4. The stone can't be but too small, though.
Seeing how I would love to start wearing rings again, I'm going to be working on perfecting another ring design which is adjustable.
The top is a rhodochrosite ring.
The bottom ring is a blue goldstone.
Well, now you know what I'll be working on.
